The main working mechanism of the labeling machine is composed of a label supply device, a label taking device, a printing device, a gluing device and an interlocking device.

Supply equipment. The label supply device refers to a device that can supply label paper according to certain technological requirements during the labeling process. It usually consists of a standard warehouse and a label pushing device. The standard warehouse is a device for storing labels, also called a standard box. It can be designed to be fixed or swing according to requirements. Its structure has two types: frame type and box type. Box type standard warehouses are used more. It is mainly composed of a bottom plate and two side plates. The distance between the two side plates is adjustable to adapt to the size change of the label. The adjustment usually adopts a screw device. The two sides of the front end of the standard warehouse are equipped with stop claws, which can be needle-shaped, claw-shaped or Different structural forms such as comb tooth shape are used to prevent the labels from falling out of the label bin, and at the same time, the labels can be separated one by one during the label collection process. The standard warehouse is equipped with a label pushing device, so that the front label can be continuously replenished after being removed. Common standard supply devices have several forms as shown in the figure. Figure 7-la is a trolley type. The label box is designed to be inclined. When pushing the label, the tilt angle and the weight of the trolley determine the driving force for the label stack. Figure 7-lb is a heavy hammer type, the label box is horizontal, and the pushing pressure determines the weight of the heavy hammer. It needs to be stopped when replenishing the label. It is mostly suitable for vertical labeling machines. Figure 7-lc is a lever type. The label box is erected to supply the standard from the top surface. The standard supply force depends on the size of the counterweight. As the label decreases, the push plate automatically rises. It is suitable for horizontal labeling machines, with simple structure and high productivity, but it needs to be stopped for replenishing labels. Figure 7-ld is a spring type, and the pushing pressure is the elastic force of the spring, which is variable. When the label stack is thicker, the pressure is greater, and vice versa. The spring can be a disc spring, and the machine needs to be stopped when replenishing the label, suitable for vertical labeling machines
At the beginning of the working process, the box is fed to the labeling machine at a constant speed on the conveyor belt. The mechanical fixing device separates the boxes by a fixed distance and pushes the boxes along the conveyor belt. The mechanical system of the labeling machine includes a driving wheel, a labeling wheel, and a reel. The driving wheel drags the label tape movement intermittently, the label tape is pulled out from the reel, and the labeling wheel will press the label tape on the box after passing through the labeling wheel. An open-loop displacement control is used on the reel to maintain the tension of the label tape. Because the labels are closely connected to each other on the label tape, the label tape must constantly start and stop.
The label is attached to the box when the labeling wheel moves at the same speed as the box. When the conveyor belt reaches a certain position, the label belt drive wheel will accelerate to a speed matching the conveyor belt, and after the label is attached, it will decelerate to a stop.
Since the label belt may slide, there is a registration mark on it to ensure that each label is placed correctly. The registration mark is read by a sensor. During the deceleration phase of the label tape, the drive wheel will readjust its position to correct any position errors on the label tape.
